Theo Motshabi will be competing for the 2023 CHRO of the Year award.
BP Southern Africa’s HR director and director at ECM Markets SA Theo Motshabi has joined the 2023 CHRO Awards nominees.
Theo, who was appointed to the role in 2021, previously occupied the position of the head of Southern Africa’s global business services (GBS) HR function at the multinational oil and gas company.
Prior to joining BP Southern Africa, he held various positions, including being the HR operations manager at MultiChoice, HR specialist at South African Breweries and an HR specialist trainee at ABI.
He holds a master’s in industrial and organisational psychology as well as a BCom (Hons) in industrial psychology from the North-West University.
The annual CHRO Awards recognise CHROs of listed companies, large corporations, state-owned entities and government institutions and award them for outstanding performance and leadership. Billed as the Oscars of HR, the ceremony will host top CHROs, VIPs and business partners for an exquisite evening of networking, entertainment and fine cuisine.
