Diana Johnson has been appointed as the new area HR director for APMEA South at British American Tobacco (BAT), a promotion that marks a significant milestone in her 17-year journey with the company.
Steadily rising through the ranks at BAT, she served as area director for sub-Saharan Africa. She also held the position of HR and inclusion director for East and Southern Africa, as well as senior HR business partner.
Before joining BAT, she began her career as an HR practitioner at IBM Brazil, later taking on roles as an HR analyst at Coca-Cola, and a change management consultant at IBM Global Services.
An alumna of Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, Diana holds a degree in human resources and a master’s in HR from Coppead Graduate School of Business UFRJ.
