Dr Sane Ngidi has joined Imagine Worldwide as director of people.
Alongside this role, she serves as president of the Society for Industrial and Organisational Psychology South Africa (SIOPSA) for the 2025/2026 term. She has been involved with the organisation since August 2025.
Sane has most recently served as HR lead for Africa at the Gates Foundation. Her experience also includes academic work as a lecturer in fundamental industrial psychology at the University of Pretoria, and professional services roles as principal at Heidrick Consulting within Heidrick & Struggles. She was also the head of human capital for the global markets division at Rand Merchant Bank.
Her career includes nearly six years at Nedbank, where she worked in the wealth management (Africa) division as head of HR, following an earlier role as organisational development specialist.
She also spent time at MultiChoice, holding roles such as HR business partner, HR consultant in talent management, HR officer and industrial psychology intern.
Sane holds a doctor of philosophy in leadership in performance and change from the University of Johannesburg. She also completed an MA in industrial psychology at Wits University, along with a BA honours in industrial psychology and a BCom from the same institution.
