Trade Kings Group has appointed Hercules Duvenage as its group head of global HR business partnering. He joins the organisation with a career that spans more than 30 years across various sectors and settings.
Hercules steps into the role following a contract tenure at Diageo South, West and Central Africa, where he served as HR transformation and change lead.
Before that, he spent over five years at Danone Southern Africa, serving as HR director. Earlier in 2021, he was appointed head of transformation, talent and learning, after starting as senior HR business partner for commercial and marketing functions.
His earlier experience through Brandhouse Beverages and Diageo saw him in positions such as talent development manager, senior HR project analyst for Nigeria’s HR operating model, senior HR advisor for HR shared services, policy and IR/ER, resourcing manager and HR business partner.
Earlier in his career, he served as senior HR manager at Mediclinic, and was the national HR manager for Mediclinic Corporation and ER24 prior to that. Before this, he was HR manager at Afrox Healthcare for about eight years.
Hercules began his career in the public sector as a personnel practitioner at the House of Assembly before moving into the National Department of Health as deputy director.
His academic background includes a master’s in HR management and another one in HR development from Tshwane University of Technology. He also holds a diploma in HR management from the same institution.
