Julia Modise has been nominated for the 2021 CHRO Awards for the work she has done as chief people officer at Bridgestone.

The annual CHRO Awards recognises CHROs of listed companies, large corporations, state-owned entities and government institutions and awards them for outstanding performance and leadership. Top CHROs, VIPs and business partners will attend the event to enjoy networking, entertainment and a scrumptious dinner.

Julia has over 23 years’ experience in the field of human resources. Prior to joining Bridgestone, she was the executive search consultant for Spencer Stuart Executive Search and Leadership Advisory, which she joined after fulfilling the role of general manager human resources at Multichoice Group.

In addition, Julia has held the role of executive head of human resources at Growthpoint Properties and group human resources director at Goodyear Tyre and Rubber Holdings. Before that she spent eight years at Cummins, starting as a human resources manager and moving into the role of human resources director. She has also held a human resources consultant position at the South African Revenue Service and a human resources manager role at Edcon.
