Julia Modise moves from BMW SA to HR director role at Sun International

Julia Modise has been appointed as the new HR director at Sun International. She steps into this role after serving as group HR director at BMW Group South Africa for over three years.

Prior to her time at BMW, she was CPO at Bridgestone South Africa. Other roles include executive search consultant at Spencer Stuart, general manager of HR at MultiChoice, head of HR at Growthpoint Properties, and HR director at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company.

She also worked as the HR director for Cummins AME, having started with Cummins as an HR manager before progressing to a global HR operations excellence manager role at the company.

Julia also held positions at SARS and Edcon, where she kicked off her career in HR.

Academically, she holds a postgraduate diploma in organisational leadership from Stellenbosch University, a bachelor’s in business administration and management from Indiana Wesleyan University, and a diploma in HR management from the Institute of People Management of South Africa.
