Mediclinic Southern Africa confirmed the appointment in a statement, adding that it was effective as of 1 September 2024.
Michele Seroke has joined Mediclinic Southern Africa as CHRO. With extensive experience in both local and international HR roles, Michelle has held strategic management positions at organisations such as ArcelorMittal, Eskom, GE Southern Africa, and the Central Energy Fund.
Michele, whose most recent position was serving as CPO at Motus Corporation, brings a wealth of HR expertise and a track record of impactful leadership that saw her overseeing HR functions across Europe, the UK, Australia, Southeast Asia, and Southern and East Africa. “Throughout my career, I have been deeply committed to fostering environments where people feel empowered and engaged. I believe that people are the heart of every successful organisation,” says Michele.
Michele holds a Bachelor of social sciences and humanities in psychology and industrial sociology from the University of Cape Town, and she is currently pursuing a postgraduate diploma in project management. Her role at Mediclinic will see her taking a strategic seat as a member of the MCSA executive and group HR committees.
Reflecting on her career, Michele explains, “I’ve been fortunate to work on diverse projects – from driving transformation initiatives at an early stage to facilitating culture shifts and implementing global systems. Each role has further deepened my belief in the power of engaged, inspired people to drive change and achieve success.”
