Sakeena Adams has been promoted to regional people director for Africa & Middle East (AME) at Sage, marking a new chapter in her journey as a people-first leader in the region.
Prior to this role, Sakeena served as senior PBP for UKIA & senior PBP for AME & APAC for Sage. She is currently in her final year of her global executive MBA with Henley Business School, and holds a BCom honours in HRM and has completed multiple courses in change management, data analysis, executive coaching, coding, employment equity and OHS.
Originally from Cape Town, Sakeena made the bold move to Johannesburg eight years ago to pursue her passion for people development and organisational transformation. Her career trajectory has been anything but ordinary, beginning with her early roles at Sound Addikts, Rightshift and DXC Technology, where she built a strong foundation in HR strategy, talent development, and cultural transformation.
Over the years, Sakeena has become known for her transformational and servant leadership style, her ability to connect across cultures and teams, and her unwavering commitment to building inclusive workplaces. Her promotion is a testament to the impact she’s made, not just within Sage, but across the broader HR community.
