With over 26 years at Empact Group, Salwa Albertyn has stepped into a new leadership role as the group human resources executive.
Having started as an intern and HR executive at Empact Group, she later transitioned into payroll leadership, serving as the general manager for payroll before taking on her latest role.
As a leader who prioritises people, Salwa believes that driving organisational success is not just about numbers, compliance, or policies, but about how employees feel.
“As leaders, we often focus on tangible benefits - salaries, bonuses, health plans, and perks to attract and retain staff. While these are important, they are not the defining factors that inspire real engagement, loyalty, or long-term success. The real key? Making employees feel valued,” she said.
Her background also includes time at Compass Group, where she grounded her skills as a payroll manager, and later as a national payroll manager.
As she takes on this role, she looks forward to driving Empact Group’s strategy towards building a thriving workplace through leadership and recognition.
