Lipton Teas and Infusions has welcomed Sivena Manikam as its new head of people and organisation for Africa.
Speaking about her new appointment, she shared her excitement and sense of purpose to be joining a company that is home to iconic African tea brands.
“I was drawn to the opportunity to support shaping the future of our beloved local brands – Joko and Glen Tea – names that carry a legacy of comfort and connection in so many homes,” she said.
“This role speaks to my passion for purpose-led work and people-centred leadership. I’m excited to help create an environment where our people thrive, feel proud of what they do and grow alongside a business rooted in heritage and heart.”
Most recently, Sivena served as an HR executive for talent; and diversity and inclusion at RCL Foods. Her journey at RCL Foods included a variety of senior HR roles, including HR business partner for group services, HR business partner for the pies division, and HR practitioner roles across group services and logistics.
Sivena holds a bachelor of social sciences in psychology and industrial psychology, as well as an honours degree in industrial and organisational psychology, both from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
