Tebogo Seakamela appointed as vice president of human capital at Nyanza Light Metals

Tebogo will be using her skills to drive effective operations and organisational effectiveness at Nyanza Light Metals.

Tebogo Seakamela has taken on a new role as vice president of human capital and organisational effectiveness at Nyanza Light Metals, a chemical company that processes titanium mineral ores and slags to produce other industrial chemicals.

Bringing almost 20 years of experience to the role, she has built her career across the chemicals, explosives manufacturing and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industries.

Speaking to CHRO South Africa, Tebogo shared her vision for her new role, one focused on creating a workplace where employees are valued, engaged and given the tools to succeed.

“I endeavour to make a lasting impact on the organisation by building a strong foundation for human capital that supports sustainable growth, while creating a workplace where employees feel proud to work and are inspired to achieve their full potential,” she said.

“I aspire to create a people-first culture where every employee feels empowered to contribute to the company’s growth and success – a culture where employees are motivated to achieve their best through implementation recognition programmes, career development opportunities and performance management methodologies that drive excellence.”

Prior to the role at Nyanza Light Metals, Tebogo has held other key positions, including working as a senior human resources manager at BME, a lead HR business partner at AECI industrial chemicals, and an HR officer at Revlon.

Tebogo holds a BTech in human resource management, and is also a graduate from Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS).
