The University of Cape Town has welcomed Juliet Mhango as its new executive director for human resources, bringing with her years of experience across various industries, including telecommunications, financial services and healthcare.
Most recently, she served as the group chief HR officer at Avacare Health Group. Prior to that, she was chief human capital and transformation officer and the CHRO at Cell C. She has also held roles as group HR executive at Life Healthcare and as executive head of HR at Momentum.
Early in her career, she held strategic HR roles at Standard Bank, Sanlam Capital Market and MTN.
Academically, Juliet holds a master of business leadership from the University of South Africa and also studied psychology and industrial sociology at the University of the Witwatersrand.
