The countdown has officially begun for the 2025 HR Indaba, set to take place on 14 October at the Sandton Convention Centre.

The theme for this year, Power Up Your People, is all about unleashing potential. It’s also a rare chance to network with over 3,000 HR leaders, innovators and decision-makers – all under one roof.

According to Kgaogelo Letsebe, community manager for CHRO South Africa, the Indaba is more than just another HR conference.

“The HR Indaba is the place to be for anyone in the people space right now. It’s more than just an event; it’s a movement. You get access to the latest insights, real talk from top HR leaders and a chance to connect with a powerful community of professionals who are all navigating similar challenges. Whether you’re looking for fresh ideas, practical solutions, or just some inspiration to take back to your business, the Indaba delivers,” she says.

With AI reshaping the workplace, wellbeing becoming a boardroom issue and skills of the future constantly evolving, she says the theme couldn’t be more relevant.

Power Up Your People is all about tapping into the full potential of your workforce. It means equipping HR professionals with the tools, strategies and conversations that can truly shift the dial from leadership development and building inclusive cultures. We’ve curated topics that aren’t just trendy – they’re timely, relevant and action-orientated. Attendees can expect to leave with practical takeaways to energise their teams and drive real impact in their organisations,” she adds.

Attendees can also expect 10 power-packed sessions led by world-class speakers, each bringing fresh insights, live engagement opportunities, tools and services with bold ideas that will help shape the workplaces of tomorrow.
