David Selepe appointed senior specialist for human capital at Liberty Group South Africa

Liberty Group South Africa has appointed David Selepe as senior specialist for human capital.

David joins Liberty Group from Absa Group, where he served as people partner for transactional banking. In this role, he supported the transactional banking division in aligning people initiatives with business objectives.

Before his time at Absa, he spent eight years at Vodacom, holding several key positions including emerging youth talent lead for the Africa region, senior specialist for organisational effectiveness and change, business manager to the group CHRO, HR business partner, and senior HR consultant.

David began his career in academia at the University of the Western Cape, where he worked as a tutor and student assistant.

He holds a bachelor’s in industrial and organisational psychology and public administration from the University of the Western Cape.
