Sharon is a well known HR leader who has wealth of knowledge in the HR space. She has been previously quoted in a CHRO South Africa article saying organisations are increasingly becoming aware that merely having a rainbow of faces and accents without a meaningful cultural shift means genuine inclusion is never realised.
In another article Sharon highlighted the importance of hiring for attitude and not skill. “I will hire any day for attitude before I hire for skill, because you can teach skill, but that attitude and that ability for people to be energised and passionate about something, is incredible. That stuff is not the same for all our industries, but it’s important to figure out what that right stuff is for you,” she said.
