A diverse community of HR leaders will on 23 February gather for the first CHRO summit of 2023.
With the world of work rapidly changing, businesses must stay ahead of the curve and anticipate the challenges of that evolution. The Covid-19 pandemic has brought these challenges to the forefront, resulting in a mental health crisis as employees navigate the loss of loved ones and their own burnout amid changing workplace expectations.
It is with this in mind that CHRO South Africa will be hosting, together with principal partners Workday, Sanlam, Mercer and associate partner Discovery, the aptly named Humane Capital Summit on 23 February.
The summit provides a rare opportunity for leading CHROs to come together, collectively focus on the people agenda, challenges, and solutions, and also have frank discussions on employee engagement, workplace culture, industrial relations, HR transformation, and more.
Futurist and dedicated unlearner Graeme Codrington will be delivering the keynote address and that will set the scene for an empowering evening of panel discussions, breakout sessions and networking.
The line-up for two panels taking place on the evening includes Adcorp chief people officer Vinolia Singh, Rand Refinery executive head: HR Unathi Sihlahla, Empact group chief people officer Sphiwe Mayinga, DM Advisory MD Dolores Mashishi, Blue Sky chief people officer Themba Chakela and Great Well founding CEO Tantaswa Fubu.
In-between the panel discussions, there will be a boardroom brainstorming session during which CHROs can collaborate to problem-solve the most pressing people challenges.
