HR Indaba Africa 2018: bountiXP is a leader in values-based employee engagement

post-title

bountiXP is an employee recognition, reward and engagement platform.

With less than a month to go before the inaugural HR Indaba Africa conference, the anticipation from partners is palpable. In this article, we speak to Dane Amyot, MD of bountiXP, about why he is looking forward to the event.

What is bountiXP, how long has it been around and what was the reason for starting the company?

"bountiXP is an employee recognition, reward and engagement platform that was built to help solve the global employee engagement crisis. It is a SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) platform that enables managers and employees to recognise and reward great work, wherever they are. It is designed to drive strategic business objectives through frequent employee recognition and feedback, engagement and motivation for start-ups to large corporates. It is the first ‘full suite’ values-based employee engagement platform to be built and launched in South Africa and has been created for businesses looking to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage through improved workforce performance."

How do you differentiate yourselves from other rewards companies?

"We’re not a rewards company but a subscription-based employee recognition and engagement platform. Because our platform is values based it connects employees to their organisations with a view to align them to the vision and mission. This promotes behaviour change, improves performance, productivity and ultimately business results. Our platform does offer a rewards suite to enable companies to further motivate performance excellence."

Why have you signed up for the HR Indaba and what should attendees look forward to seeing from you at the event?

"HR has entered a new realm of disruption – new generations in the workplace, automation and technology has changed the world of work. Employees want to feel valued and seek meaningful connections from their companies. In the past employee engagement and recognition solutions were only available to large corporates. Until now. We want to inform attendees that this product innovation is now available to them at an affordable cost, and can scale as their company grows. It is also easily implemented, with no lengthy set-ups, and is simple and effective to use with minimal management. Lastly, we hope to show how reporting on employee engagement can be done at any time using real-time data analytics."

What would you say is the biggest challenge facing the HR profession?

"The biggest challenge for companies is not having a fully engaged, motivated workforce to support their business strategies – a critical factor to remain competitive. As a result, HR is struggling to promote employees to ‘live’ company values and align core business objectives with employee needs."
