Insurance body launches careers portal

Employers can now advertise vacancies directly to insurance professionals via this platform.

The Insurance Institute of Gauteng (IIG) has launched a careers portal in partnership with Genasys, a leading insurance software provider. The platform features job vacancies at IIG corporate member companies.

IIG president Darryl Grater says that with rising unemployment, especially among South African youth, the IIG is committed to helping talented individuals gain the best possible shot at employment.

“The Careers Portal, along with other interventions, such as the IIG Academic Programme, is aimed at bringing talent into the industry and ensuring IIG corporate members enjoy an efficient and cost-effective platform from where they can source talent,” says Darryl.

“Associations like the IIG play an important role in ensuring the continuation of talent flowing into the insurance industry,” says Steve Symes, CEO at Genasys. “The success of insurance and all companies involved in the industry hinges on the quality of talent, young and old, who work in this sector. We’re proud to support this undertaking,” he says.

Corporate members can advertise vacancies directly to the IIG’s thousands of individual members – insurance professionals perfectly placed for these job opportunities. As part of a special launch offer, IIG members can advertise job listings at no cost until 31 March 2021, and applications are open to IIG members and non-members.

“The job listings will be continuously updated and we urge all potential candidates to regularly visit the portal,” says Darryl. “Your future could be a click away.”
