Menushka van der Westhuizen is the new human resources director for South Africa at Saint-Gobain.
Saint-Gobain’s new HR director, Menushka van der Westhuizen, has been shaping the organisation’s people agenda for a decade.
She has held various roles, such as head of HR and rewards – Africa hubs; group compensation and mobility manager based in France, and compensation and benefits manager for sub-Saharan Africa. “I have spent 10 years at Saint-Gobain, in a career spanning several roles and across two continents and had the pleasure of working with many wonderful people,” she says.
The seasoned HR leader is passionate about people, numbers, business and finding creative solutions to seemingly insurmountable problems. “My assets are my incredibly strong work ethic, my ability to get every job done, and to consider a problem from every angle and lead teams to success.”
Menushka was part of the House of Rose list of Africa’s most inspirational women in leadership for 2022. Its aim is to shape a better world via better diversity and inclusion, better leadership and better business.
She previously worked at Business Connexion and Cadbury, and holds a BSocSci in HR and psychology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
