Cebile is very passionate about transformation and mentorship
Mondel?z International’s HR Business Lead for Southern and Central East Africa Cebile Xulu will be speaking at the inaugural HR Indaba Africa. Cebile is responsible for the HR agenda of the company’s Southern and Central East African operations and is a member of the Mondel?z International Middle East and Africa HR Leadership team.
Happening on 3 & 4 October 2108 at the Sandton Convention Centre, the HR Indaba will be the largest of its kind in South Africa, giving HR professionals an opportunity to learn everything they need to know about the latest HR technology, HR strategy, company culture, labour laws, recruitment, employee engagement and HR leadership. It will also bring together thousands of colleagues, suppliers, platforms, universities, specialists, recruitment agencies, CHROs and thought leaders.

Cebile built her international career following initial studies in Industrial Psychology at the University of Zululand. Her career spans across both multi-national and local companies.
She is very passionate about mentorship and believes the HR profession can do much more to address transformation in South Africa. Speaking at a CHRO SA masterclass last year, Cebile said transformation was a big elephant in the corporate boardrooms of many companies in South Africa and that many executives still felt uncomfortable talking about it.
“There is no organisation that will openly say it does not want to transform. Every single company wants to be diverse and inclusive. But when you get into the companies, the individuals in that business have biases and prejudices that preclude certain groups of people from feeling included and/or excelling within those companies," she said.
