Real-world pizzas from Wamly for some HR Indaba Online guests

post-title

The video recruitment platform showcased the benefits of integrating virtual and real-world interactions.

The HR Indaba Online, which took place on 30 May, was not just filled with insightful Impact Sessions and a virtual expo, but also with entertainment and pizza. Yes, actual pizza! You read right.

Wamly, a one-way recruitment video company and HR Indaba Network Gold Partner, sent out pizzas to more than 15 attendees – all they had to do was ask.

Co-founder of Wamly and renegade industrial psychologist Francois de Wet says that to drive engagement at their stand in the virtual expo hall, at lunch time they asked people in the Indaba chat to provide their addresses to receive a pizza.

“We probably had about 15 people respond, and then we just sent them pizzas. They actually could not believe we did it, whether they were in the Cape flats or Bryanston or Durban, they got their pizzas!”

Wamly is a video technology platform that cuts the recruitment process from months to days, and interviews from hours to minutes, and has become one of the fastest growing examples of video interview software in Africa.

“Over the last 30 years, business has updated, upgraded and overhauled every aspect of what they do, replacing inefficiency and ineptitude with technology and intelligence. But recruitment has not received the same attention,” says Francois. “We say it’s time for recruitment to keep up with the changing world of work, and Wamly can be a forward-thinking solution to optimise this part of your business.”

If real-time interviews are taking up too much of your time and you would like to hear more about what Wamly does, Francois will be presenting a Webinar with CHRO South Africa on 5 May. Keep an eye on CHRO.co.za/events for details.

He will share the insights he built his business around so that the overburdened HR executive and time-pressed CEO alike can learn modern methods to find, recruit and retain the best possible people, with the least possible stress.
