SA Board of People Practices signs up as HR Indaba Partner

The SABPP is the professional body for HR practitioners in South Africa.

The South African Board of People Practices (SABPP) has signed up as a partner for the inaugural HR Indaba, which will be held at the Sandton Convention Centre on 3 & 4 October 2018. The SABPP is the professional body for HR practitioners and the statutory education and training quality assurance body for HR in South Africa. 

Its mission is to lead and give a credible voice to the HR profession based on clear standards of governance, quality assurance and professionalism in human resource management and people practices in the workplace. Its key focus is on adding value and contributing to the sustainability of organisations.

The organisation is headed by CEO Marius Meyer, who is responsible for the quality assurance of 59 learning providers, as well as the HR accreditation of all universities in South Africa. Marius has thus far facilitated training and consulting interventions for more than 100 companies. He also previously Marius lectured in human resource development (HRD) at the University of South Africa and the University of Johannesburg. He has been an HRD practitioner, consultant, academic and manager for the last 20 years and is an advisory board member and head of research for the African Society for Training and Development.

As a partner, the SABPP will have an exhibition stand at the HR Indaba, which will be the largest of its kind in South Africa. It will give HR professionals an opportunity to learn everything they need to know about the latest HR technology, HR strategy, company culture, labour laws, recruitment, employee engagement and HR leadership. It will also bring together thousands of colleagues, suppliers, platforms, universities, specialists, recruitment agencies, CHROs and thought leaders.
