The current reality is a world of increasing uncertainty. Globalisation, disruption resulting from technological advances, and geo-political shifts put people under increasing pressure and strain. The persistent change in the world and the pressures on us to transform and adapt require agility. In a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world, resilience becomes a strategic asset.
The institute’s founder, Dr Sven Hansen, specialises in sports medicine and started the business based on the notion that organisations should be interested in applying sports science to good business and leadership. He completed his MBA in 1993 and set about building an evidence-based, integral and practical solution to sustainable performance in life, sport and business.
Over 20 years Sven has worked extensively with in high performance sport, professional firms, banks, corporates, government, entrepreneurship, universities, and schools. He leads the development of The Resilience Institute’s methodology and is an experienced executive coach, keynote speaker and leadership trainer.
He has a specific interest in developing leadership teams and the application of biological principles to leadership, strategy and resilience in the community.
To date, thousands of executives and professionals have joined the institute’s community through which they have built stronger bodies, achieved greater levels of emotional intelligence, and developed stronger minds.
As a partner, The Resilience Institute will have an exhibition stand at the HR Indaba, which will be the largest of its kind in South Africa. It will give HR professionals an opportunity to learn everything they need to know about the latest HR technology, HR strategy, company culture, labour laws, recruitment, employee engagement and HR leadership.
