Think Career signs up as HR Indaba partner

post-title

Think Career helps people find the right careers and helps companies find people that are suited to them.

Think Career has signed up as a partner for the inaugural HR Indaba, which will be held at the Sandton Convention Centre on 3 & 4 October 2018. The company offers a scientific, proven approach to making better career decisions about where to people can best apply their talents.  They provide people with the tools they need to make informed decisions about their careers, no matter what stage they are at in their lives, so that they are able to work toward achieving their full potential.

Finding a career is probably the most important journey in life but most people embark upon it with nothing but their gut feel, or expectations from the parents and other family members as to what they should do. Some have no choice in the matter, or simply don’t know any better. To them, a career is a means to an end and they grab the first work opportunity they can get in the hope that they will learn to love what they do. But many of these people find themselves tied down in a job they don’t particularly like, or even jobs that they hate. Meanwhile, others follow their interests or pursue a career related to their hobbies but, while this is marginally better, it doesn’t always lead to success.

According to statistics on their website, 52% of people don’t end up doing what they studied at university and 83% of graduates either end up in the wrong job or bitterly unhappy at work. And, with the average person spending close to 10 million hours of lives at work, Think Career aims to make sure fewer people spend all that time doing the wrong job.

Ideal for employers, recruiters and HR managers, the company offers packages that include evaluations of employees as well as a measurement against the job benchmark that companies set for existing or prospective staff to ensure that candidates fit the roles they are being appointed to.

As a partner, Think Career will have an exhibition stand at the HR Indaba, which will be the largest of its kind in South Africa. It will give HR professionals an opportunity to learn everything they need to know about the latest HR technology, HR strategy, company culture, labour laws, recruitment, employee engagement and HR leadership. It will also bring together thousands of colleagues, suppliers, platforms, universities, specialists, recruitment agencies, CHROs and thought leaders.
