Worth has taught over 40 000 South Africans how to manage their money better.

Financial education company Worth has re-signed as s a partner for the HR Indaba, which will be taking place at the Sandton Convention Centre on 16 and 17 October 2019. Because they are independent, Worth does not sell any financial products on the back of their teaching, unlike other institutions which offer ‘free’ financial education but ask individuals to purchase something at the end of their programme.

“We charge upfront to educate your employees and often these training fees can be used to improve your scorecard,” says Worth founder Hayley Goodwin Parry. Furthermore,  Worth handles everything from the actual educating of staff to providing HR teams a toolkit to assist with two keys areas of learning: launching the benefit and then using the benefit. This takes all the guesswork out of it by the HR team and ensures we set everyone up for success. Lastly, they provide the HR team with access to a reporting dashboard so that they can monitor both the progress of and the impact on the staff of the benefit. return on investment for both parties is key for us and this is how we can tangibly show the return to you, for your investment in your staff’s financial wellness.

“We also offer easy-to-deploy online courses, as well as face-to-face training in both English & Zulu. Worth, and its sister company The Money School, have been educating South Africans since 2012, says Hayley.  “Our reason for starting the company was both personal, and important: we had learned first-hand of the pain that financial mismanagement can cause both at home and in the workplace and we set about resolving that. Since then we’ve educated just over 40,000 South Africans in how to manage their money in order to grow wealth.”

As a partner, Worth will have an exhibition stand at the HR Indaba, which will be the largest of its kind in South Africa. It will give HR professionals an opportunity to learn everything they need to know about the latest HR technology, HR strategy, company culture, labour laws, recruitment, employee engagement and HR leadership. It will also bring together thousands of colleagues, suppliers, platforms, universities, specialists, recruitment agencies, CHROs and thought leaders.
