Risk Benefit Solutions names John Mullins as human capital executive

John will be joining RBS from his previous role as head of people and culture at Xneelo.

Seasoned HR leader John Mullins has been appointed as the executive head for human capital at financial services advisory firm Risk Benefit Solutions (RBS).

John will be taking over from Desereé van den Berg, who has joined Unifi Africa as a CHRO.

“After just over four wonderful years working with the people experience team at Xneelo, I am happy to share that I have joined RBS Insurance Brokers as executive head: human capital. I’ll be building on the legacy of Desereé van den Berg and her great team, while adding some of my learning about people and culture from the tech sector. Looking forward to this new and exciting challenge,” said John in a social media post.

John has more than 20 years’ experience in various consulting and management roles covering the full range of organisational development and learning disciplines in both private and public sectors.

He has held a number of positions including being the head of organisation development and learning at BroadReach Corporation, HR consultant at Old Mutual South Africa, as well as being an employee engagement and culture specialist at PeopleSwitch.

He holds a social science degree from the University of Cape Town.
